Little Shop of Sketches - Sketch #82

It's time for another sketch from Little Shop of Sketches! Here is #82:

Here is my take on it:
This is my oldest two kids in September of 2007 ... discovering puddles - mud puddles - for the first time really. Justin really took to it and Samantha took a while to figure out how to jump and get a proper splash! It was so cute to watch them, but they sure were wet and dirty afterward!

I used the Denim Blues collab from A+Designs and Danimoy Designs.

I hope you like it!

Be sure to head on over to the Little Shop of Sketches blog and look at the other gorgeous layouts from the rest of the wonderful design team!

More Hybrid Cards

In my last post, I shared a card that I made for my Mouse, Paper, Scissors class (online course with Jessica Sprague and Heidi Swapp) using Jessica Sprague's template. There are so many options with a template like that, so I ran a few different designs off of my computer (using the House Of 3 sunny backgrounds included in the class).

Here's how they turned out:

This was my first one. Very straight forward with some daisies from K&Co. I really like how it turned out and I've already sent it off!

This is actually one of my favorites. I loved these K&Co. daisies from my first one so much that I used them again along with a Prima butterfly.

This one is for my sister-in-law's birthday coming up. Yes, her name starts with a 'D' and her wedding colors were pink and yellow, so I hope she likes it! I used pink glitter glue on the D, Petaloo, Prima and K&Co. flowers, Pink and white baker's twine from Heidi Swapp.

This is the inside - flowers from CTMH. I love using my flower stash :)

This one is for my mom who's birthday is the same week ... she loves red :)

This is what my card stash is looking like these days :)

This is one in progress. It's for my mother-in-law (yes, I have three family birthdays not only in the same month, but the same week!) I haven't figured out what to do with it ... but I will :)

And these are some other cards I made for a special occasion coming up. Heidi Swapp shared an awesome tutorial on making these over on her blog, so I tried some. I didn't have exactly the kind of double sided cardstock on hand that I would have liked, or enough to make them all the same, but I like them anyway :)

I hope you like them!

Hybrid Cards

Four weeks ago, I signed up for an online hybrid scrapbooking class. My main reason for doing so was because it promised to teach me some things about Photoshop and I've been wanting to switch from Fireworks to Photoshop for a while now.

It's a collaboration between Jessica Sprague of jessicasprague.com and Heidi Swapp of Houseof3.com. These are two amazing power houses in the crafting world. Jessica with her digital stuff and Heidi with amazing paper crafting.

We've had a lot of projects and still have a few more to do, but I thought I'd share a few right now ... I have more to come!We got a wonderful card template that you can clip digital papers to and print out other embellishments as well.

I created several cards like the sample ones and then started to branch out. Here's one I changed up by using Danielle Young's Bundle of Joy kit. I'm going to give it to one of the two wonderful ladies I know who are having a baby :)

I used three papers that you see here from the front view and another paper for the backside of the paper and shows in the inside. It's a tri-fold card:
I used some embellishments from the Bundle of Joy digital kit as well as some mini-clothespins and some red/white baker's twine.

I hope you like it!
