The bride's favorite color is red. She is also not very into girly things, so I had to come up with a different design than my usual flowers. It was harder than I thought, but yet, not so bad :)This is a Maya Road binder chipboard album - about 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" inside. The cover is painted with Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint by Ranger in black soot. I also bought the Fired Brick color. The Fired Brick ink is very red, yet the crackle paint was a more pinky lipstick color. I wasn't happy with the sample I tried, so I went with the black. So glad I also bought the black ... but now I wish I'd bought white at the same time and saved on shipping :)
There is a 7 Gypsies metal handle, a Grungeboard heart with inked edges, a red bling heart, and an antique key with red tassle tied onto the big red ribbon bow with CTMH black string. After painting the cover, it seemed to bow and not close, so I attached a Basic Grey magnetic closure using ribbon. To be honest, I tried to put the paint on very thick for dramatic cracks, but I probably put it on a little too thick. The pieces of paint are more likely to come off ... well, better known for next time. I thought the Basic Grey Scarlet Letter line would be perfect, so I went out to A.C. Moore and bought a few sheets.
I didn't realize until after I took the pictures that I had forgotten an 'A' sticker ... but you get the general design idea.
These are Scrap Metal letters by Pressed Petals in red. I also used Making Memory tiny alpha stickers and a Making Memories '&' rubon.
Page 2 & 3:
I used 7Gypsies vine rub-ons, red rhinestones from CTMH, MM tiny alphas, rhinestone heart and a fantastic black metal photo corner (bought at my LSS).
Page 4 & 5:
I used AC textured cardstock here with inked edges and heart brads from Joann's that I've had forever. The rub-on is from the Basic Grey kit that I used for the heart album I made recently.
Page 6 & 7:
Here is another red bling heart, AC red textured cs, BG rub-ons (words), MM rub-ons (love), white string and love metal charm.

MM tiny alphas and rhinestones (some from CTMH and others misc.)

More heart brads, black metal photo corner, BG rub-on and MM tiny alphas

I really enjoyed making this. It was fun working with photos instead of abstract ideas. The pictures really were wonderful by themselves and that helps. It was simple, but beautiful in it's simplicity. I really hope they like it!!!
I also hope that you like it!
